Privacy
EM Governance Review collects the email addresses of newsletter subscribers and the usual server logs. We do not sell personal data. We use analytics to count readers, as described below. Write to hello@emgovernancereview.com to be removed from any list.
What we collect
- Newsletter: your email address, the page you signed up from and your browser's user agent.
- Contact and advertising forms: the details you type in, the page you sent them from and your browser's user agent.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records requests to the site, including IP addresses, to run and secure the service.
- Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies. Google Analytics tells us which pages are read and how readers reach them: it receives the page address and title, the page you came from, how far you scroll, the links to other sites you follow, what you search for on the site, the files you download, how much of a video you watch, when you start and send a form, your browser, device type, screen size and language, and an approximate location that Google works out from your IP address. Google may process this data outside the EU. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Gibraltar, Switzerland and Türkiye it sets no cookies and sends only measurements that do not identify your browser. Elsewhere it sets two first-party cookies, _ga and one whose name starts with _ga_, that let Google recognise your browser on later visits and last up to two years. Google keeps the detailed analytics data for up to 14 months. You can stop it with Google's opt-out add-on or a content blocker; outside those countries, blocking cookies also stops it.
Insight Agent waitlist
If you join the Insight Agent waitlist, we keep the email address you enter, the focus you choose, the page you signed up on, your browser's user agent and the time. We use them only to tell you about Insight Agent: early access and its launch. We do not sell or share them and do not use them for advertising. To be removed, write to hello@emgovernancereview.com and we will delete your details.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which articles are read and how far, so we can plan our coverage. They record the pages viewed, time on page and scroll depth, the site that sent you, and general device and location information. We do not use them to identify individual readers.
What we do not do
- We run no advertising cookies or advertising trackers, and Google Analytics is set to store nothing for advertising.
- Advertisements on the site are images served from this site. They do not track you.
- Fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
Why we use it, and for how long
We use your email address to send the newsletter you asked for, until you unsubscribe. We use form submissions to answer you and to keep a record of corrections and advertising orders, and we keep them for as long as that record is needed.
Where it is stored
The site is hosted on Vercel. Form submissions are stored in a private storage service run by our hosting provider, Vercel, in Frankfurt (EU). Google Analytics data is processed by Google. When the newsletter service is chosen, it will be named here.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@emgovernancereview.com. The publisher is responsible for this data and will be named on the About page.
