Corrections

We correct material errors on the article itself, with a dated note at the foot that says what was wrong and what is right.

Our policy

  • Material errors of fact are corrected on the article with a dated note and listed once a month by Countersign, the editor's column.
  • The note follows one form: the word Correction, the date, what the earlier version said, and what is correct.
  • Typing errors are fixed without a note. Facts are never changed without one.
  • Correction notes are not deleted, and a correction never adds new reporting.
  • Requests are answered within two working days.
