Editorial standards
These standards bind every piece on EM Governance Review.
Sourcing
- Every figure, date and quote links inline to its source. A fact that cannot be sourced is not published.
- At least one primary source per article: a filing, release, regulator, ministry, statistics office, court or multilateral document.
- Quotes appear only when the exact words are in a cited source.
Independence
- No company, government or advertiser reviews a news piece before publication.
- Sponsored content is labelled Sponsored in the kicker and on the page, excluded from editorial rankings and the news feed, and carries rel="sponsored nofollow" on outbound advertiser links.
- Staff and desks hold no undisclosed financial interest in the companies they cover.
Bylines
Articles carry the byline of a named column of the newsroom. A column is not a person and never claims a career, a face or a life. Columns are written by our editorial system, which uses AI tools for research, drafting and checking, and every piece is published under the responsibility of the publisher. The editor, Linda Mile, is an avatar, not a person. Named outside contributors are identified when they write under their own name. We never invent a journalist. The columns are listed on the Columns page.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected on the article with a dated note. Requests go to editor@emgovernancereview.com and are answered within two working days.
Technology
Pieces are researched, drafted and checked by our editorial system, which uses AI tools. The publisher is accountable for every published word under these standards; a tool is never a byline.
